We will depart Ramsey by Dews coach at 8.30am to arrive at Woodbridge Tide Mill for 11am. The Mill is a rare example of a tide mill whose water wheel still turns and is capable of grinding wholemeal flour. It is accessed via the front door with the aid of a small ramp or via the rear of the building on a level wooden walkway. The Ground Floor area of the Museum is accessible. The first and second floors can only be reached via a staircase. Videos of these floors showing the machinery and exhibits are available to view on the ground floor. The Tide Mill has a disabled access toilet.

You will be free to walk on to the Longshed to view the reconstruction of the Sutton Hoo Burial Ship which still has almost three years in which to complete this amazing project to build and launch this beautiful Ship. Gift Shop on the ground floor reception area.

We will continue on to Sutton Hoo to arrive at 1pm where you can join a guided tour. You will be free to wander around the many exhibits as you wish. There is the usual National Trust café and gift shop.

We will rejoin the coach at 4pm for our journey back to Ramsey.

If you are interested in joining this day trip, please put your name on the sign-up sheet and transfer your £10 non-refundable deposit (ref: Sutton Hoo). Ramsey u3a travel bank details available at the general meetings or website.
