The Family History Group meet on the second Monday of the month in the Lavender Room at the Town Council Offices. 2pm – 4pm.

The group, which has around 18 regular attendees, is mainly self-motivated. With members talking about a success story or collectively helping to solve a “brick wall” which someone has encountered

A new leader is required to facilitate the group, discussing new record releases or demonstrating a new feature of Ancestry if appropriate. Accordingly, it is expected that the new “Leader” will have some experience of family history research and use of Ancestry software.

You may ask “if it is so easy why am I packing up?” Good question – I just need a break to catch up on a few outstanding “jobs” and replan my research. I also need to take some time out to rehabilitate after my knee replacement.
