A.D. Millington wrote in his book titled ‘The complete book of Mah Jong that a person could be taught the basics of Mah Jong in a couple of hours, he or she would then spend the rest of their life learning the intricacies of the game. Like so many games from the Orient it has suffered “westernisation” so is played in many different ways across the world.
