We will depart Ramsey by Dews coach at 7.45am to arrive in Windsor for entrance at 11am and return to our coach by 4pm for our journey back to Ramsey.
Please note that the price for entry to Windsor Castle is £28.80pp. However, if you are registered disabled the price is £14.40 and a companion can accompany you free. Please make sure you note this on the sign-up sheet.
The coach drop-off point is approx. 10 minutes from the entrance.
Entry fee includes an audio multimedia guide and there are no guided tours around the inside of the castle other than this. Windsor Castle is the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world and was founded by William the Conqueror in the 11th century, it has since been the home of 40 monarchs.
The Castle includes the State Apartments that are used today by the Royal Family, the historical rooms that were built for Charles II and private apartments created for George IV.
There are many famous, must-see moments within these spectacular rooms, like the colossal Waterloo Chamber, magnificent Crimson Drawing Room and impressive Grand Staircase. Don’t miss the chance to experience life in miniature with the famous Queen Mary's Dolls' House which is on permanent display at Windsor Castle.
The Undercroft Café has everything you need from a quick coffee and cake to a delicious lunch for the whole family. In the grounds of Windsor Castle you can find St George’s Chapel, a 500-year-old medieval marvel.
